Last night saw our third successful Meet and Greet, as residents from around the city came to talk about the future of Hermosa Beach. Janice and Daniel Pollizotto were gracious hosts and afterwards, some of the guests jumped in for a group shot…

Stay tuned to the Out and About section of my website to find out about upcoming Meet and Greets in your area.

HB Citizen Thwarts “Slasher”

September 8, 2007

Early in the morning of Sunday, Aug 26, a Hermosa resident saw three subjects slashing tires of cars parked on the street. The witness called officers who located two of the three suspects. One of the suspects had a knife with black residue on it that resembled tire residue.

The officers were able to identify at least eleven vehicles with recently slashed tires. Due to the extent of the damage the suspect was arrested for suspicion of Felony Vandalism.

The Hermosa Beach Police Department appreciates the observations by residents. However witnesses are reminded to call 911 from “land lines”. Cell phones calls should go directly to the dispatch center at 310 524-2750. Please program this number into your phone under “Emergency HBPD.”

Always try and obtain a good description of the suspect and, if appropriate, a license plate number. Don’t take action on your own. Be a good witness. Support the Neighborhood Watch Program.
